Hi colleagues
At our school we don't have enough computers even for the learners. The computer laboratory is one and there is onother one on the way. As a result of that we are not encouraged to use computers.There is no internet on computers except on one computer for the clerk.The school does not want to spend on the computers used by educators. That is the reason why it will take a long time for educators to use computers for teaching.

At times we lambast the government for inadequate resources in our schools, whilst those who hamper progress are in our midst, like having a dinosaur for a principal or technologically challenged management. It is so pathetic at this juncture to come across a person who is anti-development or doesn't want to embrace change. Hence I always advocate that Digital learning or Computer Literacy should be one of the fundamentals for training aspirant educators.
ReplyDeleteUnlike spending their time rotating on chairs, discussing petty staff politics or playing Solitaire in their offices, principals and SGBs should be proactive and source out potential sponsors for their schools.
My school went offline over electricity issue.
ReplyDeleteWho is responsible to fund the whole GoL computers? The connection is now a problem as the GDE and service proveder are at lockerhead. The school is claiming sole responsibility to its on account for its use. The problem is Gauteng Online guys connected electricity from the office block instead of zone straight to it lab. Can the school really deny afforting assistance to such worthy course?
GDE and Gauteng on line must come up with a solution.
